Year 5 Conservancy Trip

Our Year 5s had a wonderful day at Dell Quay. First of all the children found out about the harbour, wildlife and the people who use the harbour. The topic for our debate was the continuous footpath around the coast of England. Children got into role using costumes and props and walked around dell Quay considering how the local stakeholders might be effected or feel about the proposed path. Children then prepared for the debate and had lunch. We then travelled to the Council Chambers in Chichester for the debate which was chaired by Reuben. At the end we voted in role and as pupils for and against the proposed footpath. A brilliant day out where they worked hard but hopefully learnt a lot.
