HLTA Secondary Phase


Start date:       ASAP
Salary:             £20,493 FTE  (SCP 8 - actual £ 16,053)
Hours:             37.5 hours per week term time plus 2 inset days 
                    

The Role

CFS is looking to appoint an HLTA to work predominantly within our Secondary phase of the school, supporting pupils of different abilities. This is a permanent position which is full-time and will include:

• Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum in accordance with the special educational needs (SEN) code of practice and disabilities legislation.
• Devise clearly structured activities that interest and motivate pupils and advance their learning.
• Contribute to the selection and preparation of resources suitable for pupil’s interests and abilities.
• Supporting children with their learning and personal development both individually and in groups
• Provide clear objectives, content and intended outcomes for the learning activities
• Fostering good behaviour and care and consideration for others and the learning environment
• Support teaching and learning inside and outside of the classroom by working with identified children and focus groups
• Delivering intervention programmes and reporting on the progress made by pupils
• Contributing to the assessment and progress of pupil’s learning and the maintenance of records
• Supporting school events, trips and visits
• Undertake break, lunch and other duties as required
