Little Hoots Project
CFS is the School Champion for The Big Hoot’s Little Hoot Learning Programme, launched through Chestnut Tree House.
As part of the trail, schools will engage with The Little Hoot, a learner programme which will see them raise awareness, fundraise, and decorate their own miniature owl statues. As well as encouraging creativity and communication, boosting opportunities to have fun with art and literacy, The Little Hoot will build bridges between schools, local artists and the wider community. Through the connection with local children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House, it will also help pupils engage with important topics such as illness and bereavement.
On Monday this week our wonderful staff Mr Angell, Mr Lean and Mrs Grace were part of the launch event for the Big Hoots Little Hoot owl art competition across Chichester and Arundel held at CFS. Chestnut Tree house came with informative resources and refreshments, welcoming a number of the local schools who have signed up. Wild in Art were also there, who are the founders behind the big owl sculptures! The designs in the photos are some of the entries to our recent competition from our amazing primary phase. We are still open to designs, both from our primary and secondary phase before we reveal our winning ones.
