Open Events for Year 7 2027/2028

We were delighted to welcome so many prospective Year 7 pupils and parents to our Open Evening. For those that were unable to attend, a copy of our Executive Principal’s talk can be found here.

There are also Open Mornings for Prospective Year 7 pupils and parents which begin at 0900 and will last approximately 45 minutes. The tour will start in the Carmelite Hall, entry via the Chapel entrance, doors open at 0850. These open morning tours are bookable so please book your places using the links below:

Monday 12th October 2026 – NOW FULL
Tuesday 13th October 2026
Wednesday 14th October 2026
Thursday 15th October 2026

Remember that applications for either a Year 7 or a Reception place must be made directly to West Sussex County Council, not CFS.

Admission for Year 7 2027/2028

The application process through WSCC closes on 31st October. After that date, if you still have questions or would like to re-visit the school, please do get in touch with our Admissions Manager, Karie Wright on admissions@chichesterfreeschool.org.uk.

Monday 1st March 2027 is Year 7 Offer Day. WSCC will inform parents/carers in the following ways:

  • On-time online applicants notified which school their child has been offered by email.
  • Applicants who submitted a paper form will be emailed their allocation later this day if an email address was provided in the application. Applicants who do not have an email address will receive a letter by second class post.

When the offers are made by WSCC, if you have not been offered a place, your child will automatically be added to the waiting list. Please refer to your allocation letter for further information.

CFS will write to all parents of pupils offered a Year 7 place, the week following offer day with registration details and further information regarding transition day etc.

Open Events for Reception for 2027/2028

We are delighted to welcome prospective Reception parents to a tour of the school during the autumn term. Each tour will begin at 0930 and last approximately 45 minutes. You can book onto your preferred tour by selecting the appropriate date below:

Wednesday 4 November – NOW FULL
Thursday 12 November – NOW FULL
Wednesday 18 November
Thursday 26 November
Wednesday 2 December
Thursday 7 January

There is visitor parking on site. The tour will begin in the Carmelite Hall and please use the Chapel entrance, doors open at 0920.

The application process through WSCC closes on 15 January 2027.

The application process through WSCC opens in October. Friday 16th April is Reception Offer Day. WSCC will inform parents/carers in the following ways:

Virtual Open Events for Year 7
