CFS Passport

The CFS Passport Award is our hallmark recognition of a pupil’s journey through school, celebrating key milestones and acknowledging when they are best prepared to move confidently into the next phase of their life beyond GCSEs.

The award is firmly underpinned by our school ethos of Nurture, Challenge and Inspire, and recognises the experiences, achievements, and personal development that contribute to each pupil’s whole self. It celebrates:

  • Character and resilience
  • Consideration and care for others as global citizens
  • A growing love of learning, ambition, and future aspirations
  • Strong academic progress and achievement

The CFS Passport recognises that every pupil’s journey is unique. Pupils may apply for the award at three distinct stages during their time at school, with each application considered on its own individual merits.

Each year, one particularly outstanding application is also recognised through the prestigious Inspiring Greatness Award, generously sponsored by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Congratulations to Lotus Lee, winner of the Inspiring Greatness Award for the 2024–2025 academic year.

Award Stages

Bronze Award – Year 7

Paper-based applications are submitted during the Spring Term of Year 7, allowing pupils to reflect on their transition from primary school and their early experiences at CFS.

The themes underpinning the CFS Passport are introduced through transition activities during Year 6, with both internal and external pupils participating as they move into Year 7.

In 2025–2026, 98% of our Year 7 pupils successfully achieved the Bronze CFS Passport Award.

Silver Award – Year 9

Silver applications are completed online via a Google Form during the Summer Term of Year 9.

Pupils reflect on:

  • Personal growth and character development
  • Care for others and contribution to the school community
  • Experiences and achievements both in and beyond school

Applications are linked to pupils’ Unifrog accounts and are launched and supported through PSHE lessons.

Gold Award – Year 11

The Gold Award represents the culmination of a pupil’s CFS journey and is completed during the Spring and Summer Terms of Year 11 as pupils prepare for life beyond GCSEs.

Full guidance for the Gold application can be found here, but in summary, pupils reflect on their readiness for post-16 pathways, future aspirations, personal values, and the skills they have developed to succeed beyond CFS.

Applying for the CFS Passport Award

To be considered for the CFS Passport Award, pupils must submit an application. The responsibility for applying lies with the pupil, supported by parents/carers and form tutors.

The application process and expectations are clearly communicated through:

  • Assemblies
  • Tutor time
  • PSHE lessons

All applications are carefully reviewed by the Senior Leadership Team alongside Heads of Year.
