Science Olympics Fun 2023
To celebrate British Science Week, CFS once again held the Science Olympics! The event was well attended, with over 200 people participating. The CFS STEM Ambassadors did a magnificent job in leading the activities. Favourite events included the Vann der Graaf Generator, which made pupils hair stand on end, and the air rockets which took off in Primary dining!
The Big Bang show, was explosive! Mrs Bodington-Howard was very brave letting pupils set her on fire! There were also cross curricular activities; volcanoes - science/ geography, health and fitness - science/PE, heart models- science/art, and Element names - science/ languages.
A massive thank you goes out to our external visitors, ChiCycle, Chichester College, The Rotary and Ian Clark Electricals who provided even more hands-on activities for our pupils and their families. We especially loved the bike powered karaoke!
This year, we were very lucky to have sponsorship for this event! Thank you to NextEnergy Group for providing us with a winner's trophy and prizes!
After counting up the points scored at the Olympic events, we are proud to announce that this year's Science Olympic Champions are Aquila! Well done to all of the individual pupils who won the Olympic events. You have each won an amazing Science book!
