Year 2 visit to Arundel Castle
Year 2 visited Arundel Castle and had a fantastic day exploring its fascinating history. We explored the keep, played eye spy, and even discovered what a medieval toilet was like!
The children learnt so many interesting facts — did you know that the castle’s narrow, curving staircases were designed to stop intruders sneaking up on the guards because there wasn’t enough room to swing a sword?
During the visit, the children were taught a medieval dance, reenacted a famous battle, and learnt all about the Giant of Arundel Castle. It was a wonderful day enjoyed by everyone.
