Year 11 & parents futures/leaving CFS event

18:00 – 19:30

Dear parents/carers

*Please note a diary change for this evening event from Wednesday 24th to Tuesday 23rd September. It will be held in the Carmelite Hall, starting at 6pm. It will not last longer than an hour.

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to an evening at school to explore the options available to your child next year. Please indicate if you are planning on attending the evening here by completing the form here:

https://forms.gle/sfcvsPi6HpngD2SP7

This evening is designed to give you an overview of the options available for your child after GCSEs and the timeline ahead to being accepted on a Post-16 course locally. We will explore the different types of courses that there are, what the different levels mean and how they might lead towards a career, or a University place in the future. We will also touch on apprenticeships and how best to apply for these as this process is quite different. We have also invited Chichester College to the evening so that you can hear directly from them about what they offer.

All local open event dates will be given to you at the evening so that you can begin to block out your diaries to visit some colleges/schools over the next few weeks.

We recommend that you bring Chloe with you to the evening, although some of the information they will hear will be a repeat of a session from earlier in the day. At that earlier session your child will hear directly from these colleges/schools and get to speak with them about courses and how to apply afterwards.

It would be helpful to indicate if you are going to attend this event by clicking the link in the correspondence above.

Kind regards,

Mr Rob Angell
Assistant Head, (Secondary) All Through Personal Development
