Football Success for Year 5 and 6

Year 5 and 6 Football Tournament at Chichester University

Despite a wet Tuesday afternoon, the Year 6 boys were fantastic and a credit to the school.  In the group stage, they won 3 games, 1 draw and 2 loses. Which resulted in coming second in our group and put us as top 4 finalists.  Two games in the final and all boys put all their efforts into the game and worked really hard as a team! The boys ended in 4th place beating 10 other teams. In Jake‘s words ‘that’s pretty impressive isn’t it Miss, we have only been a team for a few weeks’.

As well as the performances from the boys a highlight for me was when another school’s sportsmanship wasn’t as expected at the end of a game and our boys stayed professional and it was great to listen to the conversations they were having on the way back to the mini bus about how you should conduct yourself as student and sportsman.  Huge well done to Freddie, Farren, Jake, Bailey, Kian, Lloyd, Thomas, Ray, Sam and Max.
