House Public Speaking Competition
Yesterday, some of our pupils competed in a new House Public Speaking Competition. This was part of our 'Values and Voices' oracy month, celebrating the power of voices in sharing our key values. An elected representative from each tutor group wrote and delivered a short speech in the Carmelite Hall on 'Why Kindness is Important'. Many were also sponsored by their family and peers to undertake this challenge, raising money for Children in Need. Primary pupils were our judges and they were looking for our Secondary pupils to speak clearly, engage with the audience and structure their speech effectively. Well done to all involved!
