Lest We Forget
To commemorate Armistice Day, the School, led by Mrs New, Captain Cook, R Carter Sqn Ldr Retd, Head Prefects, Hope Robinson and Thomas Miller, held a remembrance ceremony in the Courtyard which was also live streamed to the whole school in their classrooms.
Isabel Deans played the Last Post and the Reveilee absolutely beautifully and Cadet Lance Corporal Fergus Green laid a wreath.
Over the past week the pupils have been making the two poppy dresses, made out of recycled plastics.
It’s the CCF taster session tonight for those Year 8 pupils who are keen to join the cadets after Christmas. We have over 70 of the Year 8 pupils coming to the session which is the largest number we’ve ever had. We are so proud of our Combined Cadet Force and can’t wait to welcome more pupils soon.
