Year 5 Baking Bread


Our Year 5 children loved going to the Food Tech room and using the amazing equipment on offer there. The children learnt to weigh ingredients accurately, rub the butter into the flour, knead the dough, watch it prove and be very sensible around the hot ovens. Jenny was wonderful in ordering all our ingredients and supporting us during the morning. The activity was linked to our discussions on irreversible materials in Science and food preparation in DT. We look forward to another visit soon - what will we make next?
